Someone is trying to kill Sheldon Quarry, a CIA researcher known as "The Answer Man." Every time he turns around, there are attempts on his life by a mysterious blonde (guess who?!), Sheldon is convinced that his own agency is trying to kill him, so he turns to ex-CIA man Steele for help.

Besides keeping Sheldon alive and on time for his wedding, Laura and Steele must dodge assassins, CIA operatives and car bombs and discover who wants Sheldon dead and why.
